About War Child UK:

War Child was established in 1993 as a response to the brutal effects of conflict on children during the Balkans war. We are currently operational in Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Central African Republic. War Child UK started its operation in the Western Region of Afghanistan in 2003 working in three (3) thematic areas namely Education, Protection, and Livelihood. War Child UK’s main office is located in Kabul and a sub-office in Herat,Ghor, and Badghis.

Job Description:

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to manage and support the establishment and running of the CFS in Herat IDPs camps for the displacement-affected children. He/she will be responsible for preparing and delivering daily plans and schedules for the center staff and to support in the process of case management. The CFS Supervisor will work closely with the CFS facilitators, animator, and teacher to monitor and record daily attendance and report any issues with the center/children.


Job Description


The Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:

Managing the CFS affairs and staff in the project site;
Develop weekly and monthly schedules for site staff.
Develop/assist in the development of the CFS required to package and training of the CFS staff.
Keep all required records up to date and report to the Project Manager. 
Supervise the CFS activities and provide feedback to CFS Animator and Literacy and Numeracy teacher.
Work closely with other staff members to build a professional team meet daily.
Making sure the referral mechanism is existing b/w CFSs and other services in the area.
Discuss approaches to resolve conflicts and confirm plans for each case.
Monitor the needs and care of children attending the center;
Ensure monthly  parents  meetings to  keep  them  informed  of  any developments or problems within the CFS and surrounding areas;
Ensure that children’s participation and input form the basis of the CFS and the activities;
Ensure  a  safe  and  child-friendly  atmosphere  within  the  CFS,  that  all children  feel  comfortable,  safe,  and  respected  and  all  children  feel included and no child is discriminated against;
Ensures proper coordination between all personnel in operations;
To ensure all the staff attendance, timesheet and reports are submitted in a regular timely manner.
Develop and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to the line manager.
Complying with child safeguarding and vulnerable adults’ protocols and legislative requirements.
Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job deemed necessary or as requested by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

At least 2 Years’ experience.
The degree is highly recommended
Proficiency Pashto and Persian languages is highly essential, [i.e., reading, writing, and speaking]
Patient and with a good understanding of humanitarian and development work.
Hardworking and able to work with people from different backgrounds.
Honest and accountable.
Commitment and to understand of War Child UK values.
