Action Against Hunger (AAH) is a Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) that was create in France in 1979. Action Against Hunger has been active in Afghanistan in the medical, nutrition, food security, and water and sanitation fields since 1995.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Mission 1: Ensure cleaning of offices and the house

Dust the surfaces, furniture and equipment;
Clean the windows whenever necessary;
Empty the wastepaper baskets and incinerate their contents;
Sweep and wash the floor;
Clean and disinfect the toilets;
Clean and disinfect the water filters and fill them up.
Ventilate the offices and room;
Check that the toilets are well stocked with toilet paper;
Disposing of trash from bins and containers ;
Using vacuuming equipment; vacuums and cleans carpets, perform further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed ;
Scrubbing sinks, basins, and toilets in private and public bathrooms ;
Perform and track routin inspection ;
Make adjustments and perform minor repairs ;
Follow and health and safety regulations :

 

Mission 2: Take care of dirty washing

 

Wash, hang and iron the household linen and clothes (apart from underwear);
Make the beds
Wash and change the towel every 2 days and han git in every bathrooms;
Washing expats cloths, bedspread, coverlets and towels;
Drying of all cloths in a good manners and put them their place;
Perform any additional tasks and duties;
To report all fault to the supervisor;
To participate in all training relevant and as required:
To promote and comply with company policies on equal opportunities and health and safety both in the delivery of services and the treatment of others.

Job Requirements:

Background/qualifications

Educational / Professional Background & experience:

Should be able to read, write and count  
2 years of experience in watchman or guard position with international or national NGOs

Skills:

Required Competences & Skills :

Vigilance when handling chemical products (chlorine, etc.)
 Rigorous about following the rules of hygiene and disinfection, tidy, discreet, good physical condition
Good physical condition
Capable of showing authority
