About Action against Hunger :
Action Against Hunger (AAH) is a Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) that was create in France in 1979. Action Against Hunger has been active in Afghanistan in the medical, nutrition, food security, and water and sanitation fields since 1995.
Mission 1: Purchase the products needed for preparing meals
Make a list of the food to buy depending on the available supplies;
Evaluate fuel needs and follow the consumption;
Purchase what is needed for preparing the meals according to the budget allotted by the assistant administrator;
Check the food quality;
Prepare all the food items as directed in sanitary and timely manner;
Go grocery shopping on daily basis and make sure to bring back the receipt for purchases items and stuff;
Be care to select the clean and healthy season foods;
Mission 2: Prepare the meals for the base staff
Prepare the meals respecting the hygiene rules;
Preparing different Afghani food according to the menu for the staff;
Clean, disinfect and fill the water filter.
To cook the food in various utensils or grillers;
Check food while cooking to stir or turn;
Maintain a proper temperature for food in the kitchen;
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Educational / Professional Background & experience:
Should be able to read, write and count
2 years of experience in watchman or guard position with international or national NGOs
Required Competences & Skills :
Good Notion of hygiene
Good organizational ability
Capacity to communicate
Good relations with people -integrity
