Job Description:

The Deputy Chief Operation Officer is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all the day-to-day operational activities of the Bank under the direction of the Chief operation and President and Chief Executive Officer. The position ensures that all operational aspects of the Bank’s activities operate in a safe and sound manner in the best interest of the bank, board of management, customers and operation department staff.

 

Duties explanation:

Directs overall administration and supervision of operation department.
Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
Establishing operation policy that promote bank culture and vision
Set comprehensive goals for performance and business growth.
Work closely with marketing and review marketing Mix, based on market survey and need
Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
Design and promote new products and services based on market need.
Examines current business process and make necessary changes so the best practices and policies are in place
Prepares reports on monthly basis relating to overall status of the branches operations and whether or not objectives are being met
Review current structure on yearly base to manage the operations current activities and its projected growth.
Evaluate branch managers performance by analyzing and interpreting data and operation key indicators.
Supervises Branch managers, all operations staff and exerts effective team building.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Branch Operations.
Responsible to prepare and implement operation department target sheet and annual action plan
Developing an effective procurement plan based on bank departments need.
Contribute with the business unit by providing a view on potential improvements for products and  services and an assessment of the existing situation and anticipated changes in the external environment.
Act and work as a chief operation officer in the absence of COO.
Any task or duty which is assigned by the  Chief Operation and Chief Executive Officer.

A minimum of 5 years banking and Managerial experience
