About Organization of Human Welfare (OHW):

Background

The Organization of Human Welfare (OHW) is a non-governmental organization and is a non-political, not-for-profit, and impartial organization with no bias towards a particular religion, ethnicity, or political belief. It has its own independent legal status and entity. OHW is operating since 2007 in the country with active membership with the national clusters and international donor agencies in Afghanistan including SWABAC, ACBAR, AICS, BAAG, AWN and most of the national and international Clusters operates based in Afghanistan.

Job Description:

The Training/Distribution Officer will work closely with project team to provide and develop training materials and will monitor training quality throughout the life of the project. In addition to above the training officer will plan, develop, implement and evaluate training and development.

Key Accountabilities:

Distribution/Training officers will perform the following tasks:

Identifying training and development needs within a project team.
Coordinate a staff training programme based on organizational and employee needs
use questionnaires and surveys in consultation with managers and staff to analyse training needs as they relate to the goals of the organization and work area
compile training manuals.
Conducting post monitoring of the trainings held.
develop training resources, which may involve preparing notes and visual displays from researched information or their own knowledge
arrange or conduct training courses, which may involve demonstrating equipment, operating video recorders and cameras, leading group discussions or role-playing activities and employing experts to run sessions
evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes using surveys, questionnaires, interviews and by observation, in order to plan future courses or to amend existing ones
obtain information on work-related external courses, prepare reports on their suitability and make recommendations on staff attendance at training courses
prepare, administer and conduct training assessments
assist in developing training interventions to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders
support learners during training interventions
Maintain learner outcomes in a Learning Management System.
Prepare and implement action plan for quality monitoring
Mobilizing and Making communities aware on project objectives, outputs and activities and MEAL systems and Child Safeguarding Policies.
Facilitate project and activities information at all events such as training and workshops
Ensure personal commitment in building constructive working relationship with partners based on OHW partnership principles spelled out in Theory of Change
Support Coordinators on day to day handling of department tasks related to partners
Perform any other tasks as requested by the Line Manager.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor degree in relevant field

4-5 years in the relevant fields.

Excellent verbal and written skills in Pashto, Dari as well as good written and spoken English
University degree or equivalent experience in training and capacity building, social sciences or similar
Experience and knowledge of training and needs/impact assessment methods
Experience in training and coaching
Skills in designing and implementing information management and performance measurement frameworks
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Detail-oriented
Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to use computer programs to collect, document and share assessment and monitoring results
Demonstrated understanding of emergency response activities
Commitment to and understanding of OHW aims, values and principles.
