Job Description:

  1. Assist with the development, management, and implementation of gender-focused and gender integration activities for all program components.
  2. Oversee the quality of gender training package across all WADAN projects
  3. Train the master trainers and provide ongoing support to them in gender-related approaches
  4. Develop and conduct new or refresher trainings for the education staff, as necessary.
  5. Perform regular field visits to the provincial offices and randomly selected female teachers to ensure quality community participation
  6. Attend meetings and Working group events, which are relevant. 
  7. Maintain regular connection with the MoE relevant departments for issues related to the CBE and community participation.
  8. Draft or contribute to other project reports and presentations on activities as requested and provide data analysis and report writing related to gender.
  9. Provide technical inputs into, country level planning and programming processes and similar exercises, in order to ensure that gender concerns are clearly reflected and mainstreamed in all processes, according to results management requirements;
  10. Manage the process of collecting and sharing lessons learned on gender equality and women’s empowerment in order to fulfill any gaps
  11. Lead, coordinate, support, and/or conduct gender and power analyses, effectiveness and efficacy studies, appraisal, evaluation and needs assessments as required by the program.
  12. Travel to projects whenever required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Gender studies, Law, Political Sciences, Social Sciences or related field
  • 3 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in the field of gender related projects with additional understanding of a crisis/conflict prevention and recovery approach.
  • Good reporting and writing skills.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and local languages
