About Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance:
Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-profit organization established in 1987 by a team of Afghan volunteers, registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. CHA is a multi-sectoral organization implementing Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture, Rural Development/ Social Protection, and Disaster Risk Reduction projects in different provinces of the country. CHA is a long-term partner of the Ministry of Public Health, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the implementation of the Sehatmandi Project.
Currently, CHA looking for qualified candidates for the position of HMIS/ M&E officer based in Kabul to ensure the sufficient implementation of the Sehatmandi project in Ghor province of Afghanistan.
To Work closely with the Health sector management team in planning new projects/programs.
To analyze HMIS data and provide feedback to provincial staff.
To provide information on project progress as for HMIS analyze results to the project technical team.
Data analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis of all health facilities and at the project level.
Attend HMIS and M&E-related and other meetings with MoPH, partner organizations, and other stakeholders for effective implementation of projects/programs.
Conduct frequent monitoring field visits to ensure the collection of information in the planned manner and provide on-the-job training and technical support to the field staff.
To Maintain and update the database of HMIS also prepare project technical progress reports.
To make an emergency plan during an outbreak of communicable disease.
Implement standard MoPH monitoring tools and write monitoring reports.
Give advice and support to the field staff in HMIS related activities and assignments.
To submit a monthly report to the Program Manager.
Perform routine back-up and restore procedures.
Submit HMIS database to Project Management Unit (PMU) and MOPH according to the predefined submission date.
To attend all necessary meetings, workshops and training asked by management
Ensure that HMIS initial and refresher training is coordinated and provided to the health staff according to the standards and based on the TNA
MD/equivalent medical degree/Bachelor of Public Health or statistics from university certified by the relevant higher education authority in Afghanistan or other countries
Minimum 3-year work experiences BPHS projects including 2-year working experience in HMIS.
Good communication skill (written and spoken) of Pashto, Dari & English
Very good computer skills, especially with MS Office packages
Honest, active, innovative, and punctual
Very good analytical skills
Be willing and able to stay and travel frequently to Ghor province
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to support colleagues and provide/receive constructive feedback
