About Afghan Post SOC:

Postal services in Afghanistan have a history of more than a century. These services were first laid in 1870 for the first time during the reign of Amir Shir Ali Khan, which witnessed significant ups and downs due to changes in the political, social and cultural spheres. In 1928, Afghanistan became a member of the World Postal Union and in 1968, a member of the Asia-Pacific Postal Union, in order to expand its postal relations and strengthen ties with the rest of the world.

Recently, the post office of Afghan Post, according to the decree No. 2828 dated 10/22/1398, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Afghanistan as a state-owned company; To offer and develop traditional and modern postal services that meet the needs of customers and compete in the market nationally and internationally; The change of legal personality has manifested itself.

The goals of the Afghan Post SOC include:

Job Description:

The IFS Marketing Specialist will work under direct supervision of the Business Development and Marketing Department and report on his activities/accomplishment directly to the BDMD. He/she will perform the following duties but not limited to:

Formulate an overall marketing strategy for IFS to ensure the best visibility among Money transfer operators;
Responsible for finding and winning profitable new customers;
Building a strong off line and Digital marketing strategy;
Review the marketing calendar for the year in terms of the events, marketing initiatives, branding and promotional activities to create MIS, analysis;
Cooperation in editing the plan of achievements of 1399 and plans and programs of 1400.
Collaborate in drafting and editing the Afghan Post Company’s digital modernization and transformation plan.
Arranging the statements of the head of Afghan Post on different occasions.
Collaborate in opening postal ticket opening programs.
Design and print certificates for the Women’s Day program and cooperation in holding this program.
Design and print stamps for various postage opening programs.
Design and printing of tickets, albums and posters and arranging various postal ticket opening programs.
Design and print ID cards for Afghan Post leadership and staff.
Collaborate in arranging procedures, along with IT and Plan and Policy Consultants.
Arranging and printing large size tickets for postage opening programs.
Collaboration on the initial design of postcards for different occasions.
Consulting and cooperation in the field of marketing programs.
Carrying out the instructions of the Afghan Post official in different sections.
Evaluate and provide recommendations on IFS services;
Work with advertising and media agencies for smooth service delivery to support various marketing functions;
Responsible for compiling and distributing quarterly marketing evaluation report to relevant authorities;
Social Media Advertising and Innovation;
Planning and execution of marketing activities of IFS on social channels;
Develops annual marketing budgets;
Social Account Management;
Duties will not be limited to IFS only, but the individual will be taking active part in general Afghan Post tasks as well;

Any other duties assigned by the IFS Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Advance University Degree (Master’s or bachelors) in Marketing, BBA, BBM, BA, Law & Political Science or any other field.

 

Experience:

With master’s and bachelor’s degree minimum 4 to 6 years of  experience

Skills & Competencies:

Experience and knowledge of proposal writing, policy development and analysis;
Ability to provide vision, anticipates problems, and offer problem resolution;
Ability to plan, develops, and evaluates programs.

 

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English, and proficiency in Pashto and Dari.
