About Action against Hunger :
Action Against Hunger (AAH) is a Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) that was create in France in 1979. Action Against Hunger has been active in Afghanistan in the medical, nutrition, food security, and water and sanitation fields since 1995.
Objective 1 : Deal with purchases :
Centralize and register the bases’ internal purchase orders (BCI) ;
Check the purchase orders : accuracy of orders, budget lines, expected delivery date, description of services needed …
Register the orders in the « order reporting » ;
Deal with the orders according to AAH procedures ;
Prepare the necessary documents : order forms (BS) or purchase orders (BA) and have them approved by those in charge ;
Purchase the articles that have been ordered and respect the logistics procedures of AAH ;
Keep inquirers informed on the advancement of their orders ;
Organize and follow the delivery ;
Keep the “order reporting” up to date ;
Enforce an efficient and transparent Supply Chain
Scanning the finalized Purchase Dossier and uploading in LINK
Scanning all the documents related to the Supply Chain (SPO, Contracts, Purchase List, INVOICE, RN, SRO, and DN) and uploading in LINK.
Objective 2 : Manage information from suppliers :
Keep the price catalogue up to date ;
Deal with the quotation requests.
Maintain the supplier database
Objective 3 : Follow the payments made by suppliers :
Check invoices and purchase dossiers’ documentation;
Transfer the approved invoices to the accounts department for payment to suppliers.
Objective 4: Update market prices and suppliers lists :
Regularly perform market assessments and ensure that the database is up to date ;
Control and monitor closely the market prices for core items
Quarterly update the potential supplier list.
Diploma / Level of studies : Bachelor Degree in related field or Secondary school level with 2 years of professional experience
Required skills : Computer science (Word and Excel) – Negotiating ability – Rigour – Honesty
