Organization for Relief Development – (ORD) is a non-profit and non-political Organization has been established in January, 2010 subsequently after the general meeting held in Kabul, which was attended by highly professional and experienced Afghan activists. ORD was established with an overall outlook of assisting the most vulnerable segments (individuals and groups) of communities, in rural, semi-urban and urban communities throughout Afghanistan. The core strategy for achieving the outlook is to nurture a peaceful society where every Afghan individual or groups of individuals can seek protection and become part of the development process through expressing their opinions, identifying the problems/challenges they are confronted with, and recommend local solutions in community participatory manner. The ORD ultimately aims at turning the poorest, destitute and still passive segments into active agents and owners of their development process.

Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program and M&E Unit for timely and effective management of the reporting communication and outreach activities in accordance with the plans and schedules.

  • Design and develop ORD’s reporting system including reporting templates at the highest level and make sure that the reports are aligned with program, donor, and result framework requirements.
  • Ensure effective and efficient implementation of reporting system at all levels in accordance with ORD and donor structure project.
  • Collect quarterly report from all the units and from provincial offices and review, verify and analyze the reports and information to draft compiled and aggregated reports for ORD/Donor and MoEc.
  • Periodically analyze the implementation and results in progress against set targets of the program and follow-up on areas where the program is behind the schedule.
  • In collaboration and close coordination with the Communication Unit of donor and Communication Officials of ORD, and advise the Program and M&E Unit to develop plans and procedures for maintaining strong links with project partners beneficiaries, other donor agencies to ensure the delivery of the project messages to relevant sectors.
  • Work with the Program and M&E Staff using the existing platforms and reporting mechanism to maintain effective communication with relevant units to promote greater awareness of the project’s aim.
  • Develop and maintain an archive of all program-related reports and required information.
  • Produce project performance reports on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.
  • Work with the MIS and Communication officials of the program to make sure relevant program information and reports are uploaded to the project website on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the head of Program and M&E Unit Head.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, Statistics Development or other related fields with 5-10 years related experience in donor funded projects (such as in project monitoring preparing donor reports).
  • Possess of an excellent and the highest level of written and verbal communication skills in English and Dari/Pashto is a must.
  • Excellent report writing skills, communication skills, teamwork, time management, adaptability.                      
  • A well organized and proactive approach to work, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly motivated for his/her professional and academic improvement, and ability to take constructive feedback.
  • Excellent understanding and usage of MS Office packages; (MS/Word Excel, Power Point, etc).
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Professional work ethics.
