Priorities of MCIT:

To deliver the Telecom and IT services to remote areas throughout the country 
To supply high speed internet to the people in Afghanistan 
To design, develop and deploy the technical platform of the National Identity Card (NID) and provide ide technical assistance to the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on the successful implementation of project”
To extend the fiber optic network in the country 
To replace the existing analogue television (TV) broadcasting systems by digital TV broadcasting systems in the country and tighten regulations for broadcasting companies 

To enhance the capacity of the Afghan government by introducing the concept of e-Government and encourage all the ministries to integrate ICT within their main work  

Job Description:

1.   Establish a professional and effective coordination mechanism 

Participate in all meetings with direct supervisor and take minutes of the meetings

2.   Unifying to do’s and assign tasks to relevant directorates as advised by top management

3.   Follow up of the assigned tasks to various directorates and departments

4.   Support all units of the ministry to achieve the assigned tasks

5.   Establish coordination between directorates and units for progress and implementation of plans

6.   Evaluate and check the accuracy of all documents to be presented to top management

7.   Monitor the accuracy and timely entry of the data into Task Management database

8.   Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to for achievement of assigned targets

9.    Consolidate and extend relation with relevant entities also those who will be affected by project

10.Ensure and to follow up the project activities in accordance to action plan prepared by both the private sector and project management unit

11.Coordinate and share the result, timelines, equipment and all project documents in accordance to the approved project concept

12.Analyse and assess the project challenges and coordinate those with project team member for the solving purpose in a timely manner

13.Prepare letters, inquiries and relevant project document for the next phase process

14.Organize and participate in meetings, workshops as needed

15. Any other program related tasks assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree with 7 years’ working experience in program development,

coordination and reporting at senior level with national or international organizations (professional & technical writing experience preferred).

 

Ability to lead,

manage and take decisions

 

Having enough knowledge professional & technical

writing

 

Skills in Professional coordination with national institutions

such as cabinet & Minister’s council.

 

Be able to use MS Office package (Word, Excel and

PowerPoint);

 

Enough Knowledge of programs coordination and donor

relation

 

Be able to demonstrate a high level of initiative and be

able to work with a minimum of supervision

 

Strong written and oral communication skills in English

and local languages.
