About National Agriculture Education College/MoE:
National agriculture Education college NAEC is established under the umbrella of (IATO) Improvement of Agricultural Training Organization to provide Agriculture training & Service to people & organization working in Agriculture sector.
National Agriculture Education College (NAEC) rebuild the agricultural education system throughout the country to ensure that young people not only get access to education, but to drive innovation in the agricultural sector as a whole. NAEC focus on providing high-quality agricultural training and education for improving Afghanistan’s agriculture sector and specifically Afghanistan’s food and nutrition security.
NAEC aims to contribute to improving agricultural productivity by improving the level of education in Agricultural High schools and by providing training to people and organizations involved in agriculture sector of Afghanistan. NAEC also, develop modern and relevant national curricula based on needs of the agricultural sector for use by high schools.
About Edu2Fem Project:
Edu2Fem is an agriculture education initiative designed to increase women participation in agriculture education and activities in rural areas of Afghanistan. Here are the following objectives and scope of works of Edu2Fem project:
To develop a model that brings formal agricultural high school education to women in those rural areas where direct access to agricultural schools is not possible, or schools are not staffed and/or equipped for female education.
To develop a model that is replicable at low financial and administrative cost, and thus can serve as a model for female agricultural education across Afghanistan.
To provide additional insight into the opportunities for educating woman in rural areas.
Project Scope of work:
Pilots conducted in two locations, one each in Bamyan and Parwan.
Research of and the development, as well as provision, of appropriate distance learning tools.
The provision of theoretical and practical education to 240 female students at agricultural high school level.
The development and implementation of methods to include male members of the community to ensure their continued support for female education.
Close monitoring of the pilots’ progress and if necessary the implementation of adjustments in the chosen approach.
Final recommendations on how formal female education at high school level can be made accessible to more women across Afghanistan.
Main responsibilities of Teacher:
Deliver practical sessions and coach students individually and in groups, using approved teaching materials for both onsite and distance learning practices
Maintain accurate student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Prepare classroom and in the field materials for students
Prepare and administer tests and assignments to evaluate student’s progress.
Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
Record student’s attendance and report any issue
Have degree in agriculture and experience in teaching or training
Have good communication skills in Dari, and preferably in English as well
Have good knowledge and familiarity with the target province and local community
Have significant knowledge of agriculture education and its methods
Preferably be resident of target provinces (Bamyan and Parwan)
