About French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children: Founded:   The French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children (FMIC) is a unique public-private partnership between the Governments of Afghanistan and France is a French NGO. It serves Afghans through the partnership between Afghans and the Aga Khan Development Network through the Aga Khan University Hospital. Moreover, FMIC embodies a sign of hope for the medical care mothers and children in Kabul. Until now, the Institute has risen to the challenge of charting a course towards sustainable health solutions for Afghanistan. Additionally, it is the first ISO certified hospital in Afghanistan, aiming to provide compassionate, accessible, cost-effective, high-quality care services to the population of Afghanistan.

Job Summary:

The trainee will closely work under direct and close supervision of the senior staff during the fixed six months training period. Currently, FMIC is looking for potential and talented candidates to work as pharmacist trainees under direct supervision of FMIC pharmacist to provide customers by compounding and/or dispensing prescription medications, providing pharmaceutical information to healthcare professionals, monitoring customers’ drug therapies to avoid interactions with other medications, and providing pharmaceutical expertise to customers on the safe use of medications. Also, during the training trainee will learn non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding and will familiar with clinical pharmacy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

FMIC offers unique on-the-job traineeship programmes in various disciplines, young individuals interested in making careers in these fields to provide knowledge and develop the required skills. Trainees are paid a fixed monthly stipend and meal in order to support them to run their programme smoothly. Upon successful completion of the traineeship period, the trainees may be inducted as regular employees of the FMIC, subject to availability of a position and good performance. Job Requirement:

Bachelor Degree holder / Pharmacy.
